The band had dropped the 'The' by now and this first single from the Spare Parts LP crept into the lower reaches of the UK charts. A ballad written by songwriter Anthony King, it was the first single to feature Rick Parfitt singing lead vocal. The normal solid centre and pushout centre variants are available.
Nancy Sinatra covered "Are You Growing Tired of My Love" as the Bside for her single "The Highway Song", later included on the 1996 reissue of her album Country My Way.
