UK Acetates (Spectres)
This section is slightly different from much of the site. Here we list a number of acetates by the Spectres which didn't materialise into production singles and some of which feature unreleased material. Many of these came from Alan Lancaster's personal collection and would have been made in very small quantities — we are lucky they have survived. If you are aware of any more then please let us know!
You should also be aware that there are a number of fake acetates that have been produced over the years. These can often be difficult to identify, so be slightly suspicious of anything that seems “too good to be true”. Forums like the Status Quo Vinyl Collectors Corner are useful resources for helping to ascertain authenticity and we have a few documented ourselves here.
